Abstract

The pheasant () raised by commercial farms in most parts of China because of special fleshy flavour. In the study, complete mitochondrial genome of the Mongolia pheasant was sequenced by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) as well as the primer walking sequence method. The entire mitochondrial genome of Mongolia pheasant was 16,673 bp in length, gene composition and arrangement conformed to most bird, which contained the typical structure of 22 tRNAs, 2 rRNAs, 13 protein-coding genes and a non-coding region. The phylogenetic tree of 20 showed that Mongolia pheasant had close relationship to ring-necked pheasant. Our complete mitochondrial genome sequence will be useful phylogenetics, and be available as basic data for the breeding and genetics.

中国大部分地区的商业养殖场饲养雉鸡()是因为其肉质风味独特。在本研究中,通过聚合酶链反应(PCR)以及引物步移测序法对蒙古雉鸡的完整线粒体基因组进行了测序。蒙古雉鸡的完整线粒体基因组长度为16,673 bp,基因组成和排列符合大多数鸟类,包含22个tRNA、2个rRNA、13个蛋白质编码基因和一个非编码区的典型结构。20种雉鸡的系统发育树表明,蒙古雉鸡与环颈雉关系密切。我们的完整线粒体基因组序列将有助于系统发育研究,并可作为育种和遗传学的基础数据。
