Abstract

Dual-modal molecular imaging that combines photoacoustic imaging with near-infrared fluorescence imaging integrates the benefits of both imaging modalities and may achieve more precise detection of disease. In this study, silver sulfide quantum dots (AgS QDs) with superior photoacoustic properties and a strong fluorescent emission in the NIR region were successfully synthesized. They were further modified with the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) targeted small scaffold protein, Affibody (Z) to achieved targeted photoacoustic/fluorescent dual-modal imaging of cancer. Our results showed that the prepared nanoprobe had good tumor targeting properties in vivo, and the probe also showed good biocompatibility without any significant toxicity.

双模分子成像将光声成象与近红外荧光成象相结合,集成了两种成像方式的优势,可能实现更精确的疾病检测。在这项研究中,成功合成了具有优越光声性能和近红外区域强荧光发射的硫化银量子点(AgS QDs)。它们进一步用胰岛素样生长因子 1 受体(IGF-1R)靶向小分子支架蛋白 Affibody(Z)修饰,实现了癌症的靶向光声/荧光双模成像。我们的结果表明,所制备的纳米探针在体内具有良好的肿瘤靶向特性,而且探针还表现出良好的生物相容性,没有任何明显的毒性。
