Abstract

A fluorigenic substrate, 4-methylumbelliferyl butyrate, enables mycobacterial esterase activity to be easily and rapidly detected and quantitated. By use of this substrate, the esterase activity of Mycobacterium fortuitum was found to be significantly more heat resistant than that of M. chelonei. On this basis, a rapid, simple and inexpensive test for the differentiation of these two species has been developed.

一种荧光底物,4-甲基伞形酮丁酸酯,可使分枝杆菌酯酶活性得以轻松、快速地检测和定量。通过使用这种底物,发现偶然分枝杆菌的酯酶活性比龟分枝杆菌的酯酶活性具有明显更高的耐热性。基于此,已开发出一种用于区分这两个菌种的快速、简单且廉价的检测方法。
