In 32 patients with acute severe head trauma (SHT) the venous plasma levels of thyroid and thyrotrophic (TTH) hormones were studied and the functional state of the hypothalamus-hypophysis-thyroid system assessed. TTH hypersecretion and steady thyroid hypofunction are regular responses of the thyroid endocrine complex to SHT. Pathogenic mechanisms of the adenohypophyseal and thyroid dysfunctions in acute SHT are discussed and the need in their correction suggested.
对32例急性重型颅脑创伤(SHT)患者的静脉血浆甲状腺激素和促甲状腺激素(TTH)水平进行了研究,并评估了下丘脑 - 垂体 - 甲状腺系统的功能状态。TTH分泌亢进和持续性甲状腺功能减退是甲状腺内分泌复合体对SHT的常见反应。文中讨论了急性SHT时腺垂体和甲状腺功能障碍的发病机制,并提出了对其进行纠正的必要性。
