Abstract

BACKGROUND

To improve the utilization rate of cinnamon essential oil and compensate for the shortcomings of its easy decomposition and oxidation, the microemulsion of cinnamon essential oil was prepared using Tween 80 and anhydrous ethanol as surfactant and cosurfactant, respectively. The effects of the surfactant type, K value, preparation temperature and aqueous pH on the quality of the microemulsion were studied via a pseudo-ternary phase diagram. The slow-release performance of cinnamon essential oil microemulsion and the control performance of the insect repellent package on the rice weevil were characterized.

RESULTS

The results showed that, when Tween 80 was used as a surfactant and anhydrous ethanol was used as a cosurfactant, the K value was 3:1, preparation temperature was 40 °C, aqueous pH was 5 and prepared cinnamon essential oil microemulsion was of the O/W type. The microemulsion had strong stability and a 81.5-nm concentrated particle size distribution, and possessed excellent embedding and sustained-release effects. The prepared insect repellent active package prolongs the use time and the effect of cinnamon essential oil. The repellent rate of the rice weevil was as high as 100% after 48 h, and the contact mortality and fumigation mortality rates of the rice weevil also reached 96.67% and 86.67%, respectively, after 96 h.

CONCLUSION

The prepared cinnamon essential oil microemulsion and active packaging had a good sustained-release effect. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry.

背景

为提高肉桂精油的利用率,弥补其易分解、易氧化的缺点,分别采用吐温 80 和无水乙醇作为表面活性剂和助表面活性剂,制备肉桂精油微乳液。通过伪三元相图研究了表面活性剂种类、K 值、制备温度和水相 pH 值对微乳液质量的影响。对肉桂精油微乳液的缓释性能及防虫包装对米象的控制性能进行了表征。

结果

结果表明,当以吐温 80 为表面活性剂、无水乙醇为助表面活性剂时,K 值为 3:1,制备温度为 40℃,水相 pH 值为 5,制备的肉桂精油微乳液为 O/W 型。微乳液具有较强的稳定性和 81.5nm 的浓缩粒径分布,具有良好的包埋和缓释效果。制备的防虫活性包装延长了肉桂精油的使用时间和效果。米象的驱避率在 48h 后高达 100%,96h 后接触死亡率和熏杀死亡率分别达到 96.67%和 86.67%。

结论
