Abstract

The dissemination mechanism of the high-level tigecycline resistance gene (X4) in porcine Escherichia coli was investigated. (X4) and other antimicrobial resistance genes were located on the plasmids p1919D3-1 and p1919D62-1 and flanked by two or three copies of IS family elements, which can form one to three translocatable units (TUs). Using a reduced transposition model, IS was experimentally demonstrated to mediate the transposition of (X4) from a suicide plasmid into the E. coli chromosome.

研究了高水平替加环素耐药基因(X4)在猪大肠杆菌中的传播机制。(X4)和其他抗菌药物耐药基因位于质粒 p1919D3-1 和 p1919D62-1 上,两侧是两到三个 IS 家族元件,这些元件可以形成一个到三个可转位单元(TU)。通过一个简化的转座模型,实验证明 IS 介导了(X4)从自杀质粒转移到大肠杆菌染色体上。
