Abstract

The mnemonic BE-FAST (Balance, Eyes, Face, Arm, Speech, Time) has been developed for the public to better remember and identify the warning signs of stroke. However, discrepancies may arise when translating stroke educational materials from English to Spanish. This article discusses the use of a culturally tailored tool, RAPIDO, to raise stroke awareness in Spanish-speaking populations.

摘要

助记符BE-FAST(平衡、眼睛、面部、手臂、言语、时间)已被开发出来,以便公众更好地记住和识别中风的警示信号。然而,在将中风教育材料从英语翻译成西班牙语时可能会出现差异。本文讨论了使用一种根据文化定制的工具RAPIDO,以提高讲西班牙语人群对中风的认识。
