To determine the mediating roles of resilience and positive aspects of caregiving (PAC) in the effect of perceived social support (PSS) on distress.
This study, with a cross-sectional design, was conducted in a Chinese hospital. Instruments included the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, Chinese version Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, Positive Aspects of Caregiving, and the Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scales-21. Descriptive analysis and serial mediation analysis were conducted by SPSS 22.0.
Data from 300 Chinese carers of people with lung cancer was used. The correlation analysis showed that PSS, resilience, and PAC were protective factors of distress. The mediation analysis revealed that resilience and PAC separately and serially mediated the effect of PSS on distress.
Carers of people with lung cancer perceived positive and negative caregiving experiences simultaneously. PSS could alleviate distress by enhancing resilience and promoting PAC. Multicomponent interventions integrating PSS, resilience, and PAC should be designed to alleviate distress among Chinese carers of people with lung cancer.
确定心理韧性和照顾积极方面（PAC）在感知社会支持（PSS）对痛苦的影响中所起的中介作用。
本研究采用横断面设计，在中国一家医院进行。所使用的工具包括多维感知社会支持量表、中文版康纳-戴维森心理韧性量表、照顾积极方面量表以及抑郁、焦虑、压力量表-21。采用SPSS 22.0进行描述性分析和系列中介分析。
使用了来自300名中国肺癌患者照顾者的数据。相关性分析表明，PSS、心理韧性和PAC是痛苦的保护因素。中介分析显示，心理韧性和PAC分别并依次介导了PSS对痛苦的影响。
肺癌患者照顾者同时感知到积极和消极的照顾经历。PSS可通过增强心理韧性和促进PAC来减轻痛苦。应设计整合PSS、心理韧性和PAC的多成分干预措施，以减轻中国肺癌患者照顾者的痛苦。
