BACKGROUND
Sildenafil citrate is a commonly used medication for the management of erectile dysfunction. Previous studies have described some neuropsychiatric side effects of this medication. So far, however, there has been little discussion about sildenafil-induced psychosis.
CASE PRESENTATION
We here present the case of a 32-year-old Iranian male, without a known psychiatric history, who developed psychotic symptoms following initiation of sildenafil. We also postulate a mechanism by which this may occur.
CONCLUSIONS
This report highlights the importance of watchful observation for the occurrence of this rare but serious side effect. Further studies are needed to clarify the precise mechanism that causes sildenafil-induced psychosis.

枸橼酸西地那非是一种常用于治疗勃起功能障碍的药物。先前的研究已经描述了这种药物的一些神经精神副作用。然而，到目前为止，关于西地那非引起的精神病还鲜有讨论。
病例介绍
我们在此介绍了一例 32 岁的伊朗男性病例，他没有已知的精神病史，在开始使用西地那非后出现了精神病症状。我们还提出了一种可能的发病机制。
结论
本报告强调了密切观察这种罕见但严重的副作用发生的重要性。需要进一步的研究来阐明导致西地那非引起的精神病的确切机制。
