Abstract
A novel MgN-assisted one-pot annulation strategy has been developed cyclo-condensation reaction of 2-pyridyl ketones with alkyl glyoxylates or aldehydes, allowing the formation of imidazo[1,5-]pyridines exclusively with an exellent yield.
