Abstract

Extraction of silver as silver cyanide from silver sulfide was made possible using acetonitrile as the source of cyanide. The process of cyanidation took place through the oxidation of sulfide to sulfur oxides and cleavage of the C-CN bond of acetonitrile. The reaction was found to be catalyzed by vanadium pentoxide and hydrogen peroxide. The different species involved in the cyanidation process were duly characterized using FTIR, ESI-MS, HRMS, XPS and UV-vis spectroscopic analysis. The mechanism of the cyanidation process was confirmed through FTIR analysis.

使用乙腈作为氰化物源,可从硫化银中提取氰化银。氰化过程通过硫化物氧化为硫氧化物以及乙腈的C-CN键断裂来进行。发现该反应由五氧化二钒和过氧化氢催化。利用傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、电喷雾电离质谱(ESI-MS)、高分辨率质谱(HRMS)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)和紫外可见光谱分析对氰化过程中涉及的不同物质进行了适当表征。通过傅里叶变换红外光谱分析证实了氰化过程的机理。
