Effects of the application of different improved materials on reclaimed soil structure and maize yield of Hollow Village in Loess Area.

Abstract

In order to solve the soil problem of poor structure and low fertility after the abandoned homestead reclamation of Hollow Village in Loess Area and to improve the quality of the reclaimed soil in Hollow Village, a five-year field experiment was conducted here. In this experiment, the following seven treatments were applied: no modified material (CK), maturing agent (TM), fly ash (TF), organic fertilizer (TO), maturing agent + fly ash (TMF), maturing agent + organic fertilizer (TMO) and fly ash + organic fertilizer (TFO), and the effects of different improved materials on soil properties and crop yield were studied. The results showed that: soil organic matter (SOM) and total nitrogen contents increased significantly after the application of different improved materials, which promoted the cementation and aggregation of water-stable microaggregates (< 0.25 mm), and the water-stable macroaggregates showed an increasing trend. In the 0-0.15 m soil layer, the proportion of water-stable macroaggregates under TM, TF, TO, TMF, TMO, and TFO treatment increased by 328.2%, 130.0%, 87.8%, 81.1%, 36.7%, and 12.2% compared with CK, respectively. Meanwhile, TF, TO, TMF, TMO, TFO treatments significantly increased the mean weight diameter (MWD) and geometric mean diameter (GMD) values, reduced soil bulk density, the stable aggregate index (E) and fractal dimension (D) values (P < 0.05), and the stability of soil structure and the capacity of soil moisture retention has been significantly improved. The SOM content had a significant positive correlation with MWD, GMD, and > 2 mm water-stable aggregates and a significant negative correlation with the E, D, and water-stable microaggregates. In particular, the organic-inorganic coupling treatment of TFO showed the highest SOM content, soil moisture content, water-stable macroaggregates and maize yield, which was the most appropriate amendment for improving the reclaimed soil structure and fertility of Hollow Village in Loess Area.

为解决黄土区空心村废弃宅基地复垦后土壤结构差、肥力低的问题,提高空心村复垦土壤质量,进行了为期 5 年的田间试验。本试验设置不添加改良材料(CK)、熟化剂(TM)、粉煤灰(TF)、有机肥(TO)、熟化剂+粉煤灰(TMF)、熟化剂+有机肥(TMO)、粉煤灰+有机肥(TFO)7 种处理,研究了不同改良材料对土壤性质和作物产量的影响。结果表明:不同改良材料的施用均显著提高了土壤有机质(SOM)和全氮含量,促进了水稳性微团聚体(<0.25 mm)的胶结和团聚,水稳性大团聚体呈增加趋势。在 0-0.15 m 土层中,TM、TF、TO、TMF、TMO、TFO 处理下的水稳性大团聚体比例分别比 CK 增加 328.2%、130.0%、87.8%、81.1%、36.7%、12.2%。同时,TF、TO、TMF、TMO、TFO 处理均显著提高了平均重量直径(MWD)和几何平均直径(GMD)值,降低了土壤容重,稳定团聚体指数(E)和分形维数(D)值(P<0.05),显著改善了土壤结构稳定性和保水能力。SOM 含量与 MWD、GMD、>2mm 水稳性团聚体呈显著正相关,与 E、D、水稳性微团聚体呈显著负相关。特别是 TFO 的有机-无机耦合处理表现出最高的 SOM 含量、土壤含水量、水稳性大团聚体和玉米产量,是改善黄土区空心村复垦土壤结构和肥力最适宜的改良措施。
