Fourteen cases of mucosal melanomas of the oral cavity were treated from January, 1970 to April, 1986 in our department. The patients were 10 males and 4 females and in their fifth and sixth decades with the primary sites in the upper gingiva and palates in the majority. The 3 and 5 year survival rates were 21.4% and 14.3% respectively, with unfavorable prognosis in comparison with cutaneous melanoma. The clinical stages were as follows: stage Ia (1), Ib (8), II (5), which affected the prognosis. The depth of invasion, as described by Breslow et al., were beyond 1.50 mm except in one case, which might be a significant prognostic factor in the study of mucosal melanoma of the oral cavity. Seventy one percent had neck node metastases and 35% had distant metastases. The high occurrence of metastases might be related to their poor prognosis.
1970年1月至1986年4月，我科共治疗了14例口腔黏膜黑色素瘤患者。患者中男性10例，女性4例，年龄多在五、六十岁，主要发病部位在上颌牙龈和腭部。3年和5年生存率分别为21.4%和14.3%，与皮肤黑色素瘤相比预后不佳。临床分期如下：Ia期（1例），Ib期（8例），II期（5例），分期影响预后。如Breslow等人所述，除1例患者外，肿瘤浸润深度均超过1.50 mm，这可能是口腔黏膜黑色素瘤研究中的一个重要预后因素。71%的患者有颈部淋巴结转移，35%的患者有远处转移。转移发生率高可能与其预后不良有关。
