Abstract
Of the several known viruses, chicken astrovirus (CAstV) has been associated with diarrhea, runting-stunting syndrome, severe kidney disease, and gout, and white chick syndrome (WCS) in young broiler chicks. Discovered in 2004, CAstV consists of two genogroups with an expanding subgroup because of the diversity exhibited in its viral capsid sequence. Despite these findings, there exists a dearth of knowledge on its pathogenesis. This review highlights the pathogenesis and development of and models.

在几种已知病毒中，鸡星状病毒（CAstV）与幼龄肉鸡的腹泻、生长迟缓综合征、严重肾病、痛风以及白羽鸡综合征（WCS）有关。CAstV于2004年被发现，由两个基因群组成，由于其病毒衣壳序列表现出的多样性，基因群还在不断扩大。尽管有这些发现，但关于其发病机制的知识仍然匮乏。本综述重点介绍了其发病机制以及相关模型的建立。
