Strain G5-11, a Gram-negative, moderately halotolerant, facultatively aerobic, motile bacterium was isolated from saline soil collected from Yingkou, Liaoning, China. The cells of strain G5-11 grew in the presence of 3-15% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 5%), at between 4 and 35 °C (optimum 30 °C), and at a pH of 6.0-9.0 (optimum 8.0). The major respiratory quinone was Q-9 and the dominant cellular fatty acids were summed feature 8 (Cω7c/Cω6c), C, and summed feature 3 (Cω7c/Cω6c). The major components of the polar lipid profile were phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, diphosphatidylglycerol and unidentified aminolipid. The G + C content of the strain G5-11 genome was 61.0 mol%. The isolated strain G5-11 showed the highest 16S rRNA gene similarity to Halomonas niordiana LMG 31227 and Halomonas taeanensis DSM 16463, both reaching 98.3%, followed by Halomonas pacifica NBRC 102220. The results from phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, and phylogenetic analyses showed that strain G5-11 represented a novel species of the genus Halomonas, for which the name Halomonas salinarum sp. nov. was proposed. The type strain of Halomonas salinarum is G5-11 (= CGMCC 1.12051 = LMG 31677).
G5-11 菌株,革兰氏阴性,中度耐盐,兼性需氧,运动细菌,从中国辽宁营口采集的盐土中分离得到。菌株 G5-11 的细胞在 3-15%(w/v)NaCl(最佳 5%)存在下生长,在 4-35°C(最佳 30°C)之间生长,在 pH 值为 6.0-9.0(最佳 8.0)之间生长。主要呼吸醌为 Q-9,主要细胞脂肪酸为总和特征 8(Cω7c/Cω6c)、C 和总和特征 3(Cω7c/Cω6c)。极性脂谱的主要成分是磷脂酰胆碱、磷脂酰甘油、磷脂酰乙醇胺、双磷脂酰甘油和未鉴定的胺脂。菌株 G5-11 的 G+C 含量为 61.0 mol%。分离出的菌株 G5-11 与 Halomonas niordiana LMG 31227 和 Halomonas taeanensis DSM 16463 的 16S rRNA 基因相似度最高,均达到 98.3%,其次是 Halomonas pacifica NBRC 102220。表型、化学分类和系统发育分析的结果表明,菌株 G5-11 代表了 Halomonas 属的一个新种,建议将其命名为 Halomonas salinarum sp. nov。Halomonas salinarum 的模式菌株为 G5-11(=CGMCC 1.12051=LMG 31677)。
