(Willd.) Iljin is not only a source of phytosteroids and flavonoids, but is also source of essential oil (EO). This study evaluated the volatile metabolic constituents and histochemical localization of root and rhizome essential oils (EOs) from populations wild-grown in Russia and cultivated in Bulgaria. The performed histochemical analysis confirmed the presence of lipophilic substances in the secretory ducts of the examined roots and rhizomes. Both EOs were obtained by hydrodistillation and further analyzed by gas chromatography with mass detection. The results showed differences between the chemical compositions of both EOs. Forty-six components were tentatively identified in oil from the wild population, with -selinene (4.77%), estragole (6.32%), D-carvone (6.37%), cyperene (8.78%), and ledene oxide (11.52%) being the major constituents. In the EO isolated from cultivated , twenty-three compounds were tentatively identified, with humulene (7.68%), -elemene (10.76%), humulene-1,2-epoxide (11.55%), ledene oxide (13.50%), and elemene (19.08%) predominating. This is the first report describing the histolocalization and chemical profile of EO from cultivated in Bulgaria. Further research on the cultivation of in Bulgaria would affect the relationship between its chemical composition and pharmacological effects.

Iljin不仅是植物甾醇和黄酮类化合物的来源,也是精油(EO)的来源。本研究评估了俄罗斯野生种群和保加利亚栽培种群的根和根茎精油(EO)的挥发性代谢成分及其组织化学定位。所进行的组织化学分析证实,在所检查的根和根茎的分泌管中存在亲脂性物质。两种精油均通过水蒸馏获得,并进一步通过气相色谱-质谱检测进行分析。结果表明两种精油的化学成分存在差异。在野生种群的精油中初步鉴定出46种成分,其中β-瑟林烯(4.77%)、草蒿脑(6.32%)、D-香芹酮(6.37%)、石竹烯(8.78%)和氧化喇叭烯(11.52%)为主要成分。在从栽培植株中分离出的精油中,初步鉴定出23种化合物,其中α-葎草烯(7.68%)、β-榄香烯(10.76%)、1,2-环氧-α-葎草烯(11.55%)、氧化喇叭烯(13.50%)和榄香烯(19.08%)占主导地位。这是第一份描述保加利亚栽培植株精油的组织定位和化学特征的报告。在保加利亚对该植株栽培的进一步研究将影响其化学成分与药理作用之间的关系。
