[Dysmorphophobia. A report of experiences from the surgical special consultation].

Morselli first described dysmorphophobia 1891. Our experiences of 12 patients who were seen in the Plastic Surgery Unit during the period 1983-1986 are presented. The problems of therapy and indications for operation are discussed.
