Experiences with the treatment of clinical hyperprolactinaemia.

67 patients with high serum prolactin values were treated by bromocriptine (Parlodel). Parlodel was administered in 56 cases because of functional infertility, and 27 of them became pregnant. The previously given traditional ovulation inductors were ineffective in many cases. According to the authors' experience Parlodel can be favourably combined with clomiphene citrate. On the other hand, Parlodel treatment could be effectively introduced in cases with only moderately high prolactin values (400-800 mIU/ml) to restore fertility. Parlodel can be effective also in the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome.
