The complexation of prism[5]arenes with amino acid derivatives showed association constants of up to 10 M, significant CD with of up to 0.8 × 10 and CPL with of 2 × 10. The absolute configuration-CD signal correlation was established. The CD spectra varied significantly with the substituents on the prism[5]arenes.
