A Gram-negative, strictly aerobic, motile, and rod-shaped bacterial strain G4R7 was isolated from the roots of moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) in Zhejiang, Hangzhou Province, China. After comparing 16S rRNA gene sequences, strain G4R7 exhibited the highest similarities with Massilia neuiana PTW21 (98.3%), followed by M. agri K-3-1 (98.3%), M. consociate CCUG 58010 (97.7%), M. niastensis 5516S-1 (97.7%) and M. yuzhufengensis ZD1-4 (97.6%). The phylogenetic analysis revealed that strain G4R7 belonged to the genus Massilia. The draft genome of strain G4R7 was 5.81 Mb, and the G+C content was 64.4%. The average nucleotide identity values between G4R7 and another related member of the genus Massilia ranged from 76.6 to 87.2%, and the digital DNA-DNA hybridization ranged from 20.7 to 27.9%. Strain G4R7 grew at 15-37 °C (optimum 25-30 °C) and pH 6.0-9.0 (optimum pH 7.0) in the presence of 0-3% (w/v) NaCl (optimum 0%). The respiratory quinone was Q-8, and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, and aminophospholipid. The major cellular fatty acids were C 3OH, C, C 2OH, and C, summed feature 3 (C ω6c and/or C ω7c). As per the data from chemotaxonomic, phylogenetic, and phenotypic evidence, strain G4R7 represents a new species of genus Massilia, for which the name Massilia phyllostachyos sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is G4R7 (=ACCC 61911=GDMCC 1.2961=JCM 35225).
从中国浙江省杭州市毛竹(Phyllostachys edulis)根部分离出一株革兰氏阴性、严格需氧、具运动性的杆状细菌菌株G4R7。通过比较16S rRNA基因序列,菌株G4R7与新纳马赛菌Massilia neuiana PTW21相似度最高(98.3%),其次是农业马赛菌M. agri K-3-1(98.3%)、联合马赛菌M. consociate CCUG 58010(97.7%)、尼亚斯马赛菌M. niastensis 5516S-1(97.7%)和玉竹峰马赛菌M. yuzhufengensis ZD1-4(97.6%)。系统发育分析表明,菌株G4R7属于马赛菌属。菌株G4R7的基因组草图大小为5.81 Mb,G+C含量为64.4%。G4R7与马赛菌属其他相关成员之间的平均核苷酸同一性值在76.6%至87.2%之间,数字DNA-DNA杂交值在20.7%至27.9%之间。菌株G4R7在15 - 37 °C(最适温度25 - 30 °C)、pH 6.0 - 9.0(最适pH 7.0)以及0 - 3%(w/v)NaCl(最适0%)条件下生长。呼吸醌为Q-8,主要极性脂为双磷脂酰甘油、磷脂酰甘油、磷脂酰乙醇胺和氨基磷脂。主要细胞脂肪酸为C 3OH、C、C 2OH和C,总和特征3(C ω6c和/或C ω7c)。根据化学分类、系统发育和表型证据数据,菌株G4R7代表马赛菌属的一个新物种,为此提出名为毛竹马赛菌Massilia phyllostachyos sp. nov.。模式菌株为G4R7(=ACCC 61911=GDMCC 1.2961=JCM 35225)。
