(Sulzer) is a crop pest causing serious economic losses around the world. For many decades, the management of has relied heavily on chemical pesticides, resulting in the development of resistance, and new compounds with activity against are needed. Five novel polyketides, strekingmycins A-E (-), were isolated from sp. SA61. Their structures were determined based on MS, NMR, and X-ray diffraction data. Strekingmycins were active against between 4.4 and 9.4 μg/mL.
