The permeation of specimens from 13 commercially available gloves by 20 single- and multi-component solutions was measured. Of the 8 basic glove materials, the butyl rubber and polyvinyl alcohol specimens exhibited the longest breakthrough times over the widest range of chemicals and chemical combinations.
