Abstract

This study assessed outcomes prior to and after electronic medical record-based clinical decision support implementation combined with prospective audit in patients with COVID-19. This multimodal stewardship intervention was associated with a decrease in antibiotic exposure for patients with COVID-19 (44.4% vs 61.8%, = 0.002) within the first 7 days of hospitalization.
