Abstract
The worldwide epidemic of steatotic (fatty) liver disease also affects children and adolescents. The consensus statement by Zhang et al. summarizes key evidence on detection, risk factors, manifestations, comorbidities, and potential treatments in children and adolescents. The work emphasizes the need for advancements in managing this threat to the health and longevity of young individuals.
