Abstract

In a recent study in Cell, Cheng and Wang et al. show that the small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA) SNORA13 has a non-canonical role in ribosome biogenesis and senescence by acting directly on RPL23 and regulating its assembly into the 60S ribosomal subunit.
