Two new species, and , isolated from a spider and fruiting body of sp., are introduced. Morphological comparisons and phylogenetic analyses based on multigene datasets (ITS+LSU++-1alpha) support the establishment of the new species. A combined dataset of ITS, LSU, , and -1alpha showed the taxonomic placement of in Clavicipitaceae for the first time. is regarded as a synonym of and two species are transferred into the latter based on the phylogenetic analysis and morphological characteristics.
