Innovations in anesthetic technology, including nanotechnology, microneedle patches, and cryoanesthesia, promise to improve pain management and minimize complications. Personalized anesthesia approaches, informed by genetic and proteomic analyses, offer the potential to optimize individual patient care. However, further research is needed to understand the long-term effects of anesthetic agents on wound healing and scarring, especially in patients with comorbidities.
