Abstract

Bluetongue virus (BTV) usually infects sheep, cattle, deer and other domesticated and wild ruminants through the bite of the vector insects, , causing bluetongue (BT). BT in subtropical and even temperate regions poses a serious threat to the development and international trade of the livestock industry. This article introduced the structure and cellular invasion, and summarized the mechanisms of anti-BTV immune response of host cells and antagonism of host cell innate immune response by the non-structural proteins (e.g., NS3 and NS4) and structural proteins (e.g., VP3 and VP4) of BTV. This review provided a basis for understanding the antagonism mechanisms of BTV against the interferon (IFN) immune response in the host cell and the pathogenesis of BTV as well as for developing novel vaccines against this virus.

蓝舌病病毒(BTV)通常通过媒介昆虫叮咬感染绵羊、牛、鹿及其他家养和野生反刍动物,引发蓝舌病(BT)。亚热带甚至温带地区的蓝舌病对畜牧业的发展和国际贸易构成严重威胁。本文介绍了蓝舌病病毒的结构和细胞入侵过程,并总结了宿主细胞抗BTV免疫反应机制以及BTV非结构蛋白(如NS3和NS4)和结构蛋白(如VP3和VP4)对宿主细胞固有免疫反应的拮抗作用。本综述为理解BTV在宿主细胞中对抗干扰素(IFN)免疫反应的拮抗机制、BTV的发病机制以及开发针对该病毒的新型疫苗提供了依据。
