Chlorination is a widely used strategy at the industrial level. Chlorinated products represent indispensable building blocks in synthetic chemistry. Here, we report the synthesis of benzyl chlorides and α-chloro alkyl arenes, mediated by visible light, starting from variously substituted toluenes and -dichloroacetamide as a chlorinating reagent. This methodology is a valid alternative to the syntheses previously reported in the literature. It is a metal-free process and does not involve the use of additives or radical initiators.
氯化是工业层面广泛使用的一种策略。氯化产品是合成化学中不可或缺的基础材料。在此,我们报告了从各种取代甲苯和二氯乙酰胺作为氯化试剂出发,通过可见光介导合成苄基氯和α-氯代烷基芳烃的方法。该方法是文献中先前报道的合成方法的有效替代方案。它是一种无金属过程,不涉及使用添加剂或自由基引发剂。
