Only a few years ago, colored pencils were relegated to the "kids category" along with crayons and finger paints. They were not considered sophisticated enough for professional artists to take seriously. Today, however, artists are using them with so much confidence and finesse that the best colored pencil drawings can hold their own with those of any other technique.
