PURPOSE
Intrasellar arachnoid cysts are extremely rare, and their differentiation from other cystic lesions can be challenging because of their similar imaging characteristics.
METHODS
This study aimed to describe the imaging characteristics observed in five patients and correlate them with developmental and growth mechanisms.
RESULTS
These cysts are characterized by the lack of contrast enhancement in their walls and posterior displacement of the pituitary gland. As a result, no enhancing tissue is present at the anterior portion of the sella where it interfaces with the sphenoid sinus.
CONCLUSION
We believe that this sign will lead to more accurate diagnosis and improve surgical planning.
目的
鞍内蛛网膜囊肿极为罕见，因其影像学特征相似，与其他囊性病变的鉴别颇具挑战。
方法
本研究旨在描述5例患者的影像学特征，并将其与发育及生长机制相关联。
结果
这些囊肿的特征为囊壁无强化以及垂体向后移位。因此，在蝶鞍与蝶窦交界的前部区域不存在强化组织。
结论
我们认为该征象将有助于更准确的诊断并改善手术规划。
