Abstract

The Luciferase reporter detects and characterizes genes by using Luciferin as a substrate. Intronic miRNAs are located within intron and derived from the processing of their hosting pre-mRNA. Here, we describe the Luciferase reporter system used in the detection of intron splicing events affecting the intronic miRNA processing by this method.
