Adipose-derived stromal/stem cells (ASCs) from human fat tissue samples offer a valuable model to study adipogenesis in vitro. A hormonal cocktail that promotes growth and differentiation can be used in experimental procedures to facilitate the conversion of ASCs into adipocytes. This protocol describes methods for adipogenic differentiation of primary human ASCs in vitro, outlining flow cytometry quantification and fluorescence microscopy qualitative assessment of the adipogenic process.
