Monomorphic epitheliotropic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL) is an uncommon and highly aggressive form of lymphoma that represents less than 1% of all non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. At present, few reports have focused on the imaging findings of MEITL, which poses significant challenges for clinical diagnosis.
A 78-year-old female with recurrent vomiting and abdominal distension was admitted to our hospital. Magnetic resonance and F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG PET/CT) examinations revealed multiple segmental malignant tumors in the small intestine with mesenteric lymph node metastasis. An endoscopic biopsy revealed MEITL. After three cycles of reduced-dose cyclophosphamide, vinorelbine, and prednisone chemotherapy, follow-up F-FDG PET/CT demonstrated a partial response to treatment. The patient was still alive after 6 months of follow-up.
Magnetic resonance imaging serves as a valuable tool in detecting malignant tumor lesions of MEITL, whereas F-FDG PET/CT offers additional assistance in tumor staging and assessing treatment efficacy.
单形性上皮样肠道T细胞淋巴瘤(MEITL)是一种罕见且侵袭性很强的淋巴瘤形式,占所有非霍奇金淋巴瘤的比例不到1%。目前,很少有报告关注MEITL的影像学表现,这给临床诊断带来了重大挑战。
一名78岁女性因反复呕吐和腹胀入院。磁共振成像及氟脱氧葡萄糖正电子发射断层扫描/计算机断层扫描(F-FDG PET/CT)检查显示小肠多发节段性恶性肿瘤并伴有肠系膜淋巴结转移。内镜活检显示为MEITL。经过三个周期的环磷酰胺、长春瑞滨和泼尼松减量化疗后,随访的F-FDG PET/CT显示治疗有部分缓解。随访6个月后患者仍存活。
磁共振成像在检测MEITL恶性肿瘤病变方面是一种有价值的工具,而F-FDG PET/CT在肿瘤分期和评估治疗疗效方面提供了额外的帮助。
