A large number of degradable plastics have entered the market because traditional plastics are not easy to degrade. However, degradable plastics have problems such as inability to be completely degraded in time. Therefore, evaluating whether degradable plastics pose environmental harm is both urgent and crucial. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) disposable degradable plastic bags which were filled with CaCO have been widely circulated in the market. But there has been no reported research on whether HDPE/CaCO degradable plastics are harmful to the environment. Therefore, in this study, HDPE-CaCO degradable plastics circulated in the market were taken as the research objects, and the antibiotic resistance genes (ARG), a new type of environmental pollution indicator, were used as the evaluation indicators. The HDPE/CaCO degradable plastics were made into plastic pieces less than 10 mm in size and then evenly mixed with soil. After 30 days, metagenomic sequencing was performed on the soil microorganisms, and the soil microbial community structure and the abundance of ARGs in the soil were analyzed to evaluate the potential environmental risks of HDPE/CaCO degradable plastics. The results showed that comparing with HDPE, the HDPE/CaCO degradable plastics could reduce the abundance of soil ARGs and change the soil microbial community structure. Our results indicated that HDPE/CaCO degradable plastics imposed a reduced environmental impact compared to conventional HDPE plastics.
由于传统塑料不易降解,大量可降解塑料已进入市场。然而,可降解塑料存在不能及时完全降解等问题。因此,评估可降解塑料是否对环境造成危害既紧迫又关键。填充有碳酸钙的高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)一次性可降解塑料袋已在市场上广泛流通。但关于HDPE/碳酸钙可降解塑料是否对环境有害,尚无相关研究报道。因此,本研究以市场上流通的HDPE-碳酸钙可降解塑料为研究对象,将新型环境污染指标抗生素抗性基因(ARG)作为评价指标。将HDPE/碳酸钙可降解塑料制成尺寸小于10毫米的塑料片,然后与土壤均匀混合。30天后,对土壤微生物进行宏基因组测序,分析土壤微生物群落结构和土壤中ARG的丰度,以评估HDPE/碳酸钙可降解塑料的潜在环境风险。结果表明,与HDPE相比,HDPE/碳酸钙可降解塑料可降低土壤ARG的丰度并改变土壤微生物群落结构。我们的结果表明,与传统HDPE塑料相比,HDPE/碳酸钙可降解塑料对环境的影响较小。
