Abstract
Diarrhea and pseudomembranous colitis are associated with antimicrobial therapy and prophylaxis. Clostridium difficile colitis occurred in a patient who received a single dose of cefazolin for prophylaxis at cesarean section. Prompt remission occurred after treatment with oral vancomycin.
