Oestlund, 1923 is distinguished from other aphid genera by a body in life heavily covered with white wax powder, antennal segment III rather long and with numerous secondary rhinaria, body dorsal setae long and pointed, the second hind tarsal segment longer than the ultimate rostral segment, siphunculi as long stout cylinders, and cauda broad and short. Based on the examination of Chinese specimens, two species were found to be synonyms of (Hori, 1927): Zhang, Zhong & Zhang, 1992, and Zhang, 1980, Additionally, (Gillette, 1911) and David, Narayanan & Rajasingh, 1971 are reported here as new records for China. Additionally, (Caprifoliaceae) is a new host plant record for . The DNA barcodes for , and have been obtained, with the barcodes of and being acquired for the first time. Keys to Chinese species in this genus are presented.
奥斯特伦德蚜属(Oestlund, 1923)与其他蚜虫属的区别在于,活体时身体密布白色蜡粉,触角第三节相当长且有许多次生感觉圈,身体背面刚毛长且尖,后跗节第二节长于喙端节,腹管为长粗圆筒形,尾片宽而短。基于对中国标本的检查,发现两个物种是(堀,1927)的同物异名:张、钟和张,1992年的[物种名称1],以及张,1980年的[物种名称2]。此外,(吉列特,1911)和大卫、纳拉亚南与拉贾辛格,1971年的[物种名称3]在此报告为中国新记录。另外,[植物名称](忍冬科)是[蚜虫名称]的新寄主植物记录。已获得[蚜虫名称1]、[蚜虫名称2]和[蚜虫名称3]的DNA条形码,其中[蚜虫名称2]和[蚜虫名称3]的条形码是首次获得。给出了该属中国物种检索表。
