Damage to the articular cartilage of the tibial plateau presents significant challenges, resulting in pain, functional impairment, and progressive joint degeneration that can lead to severe osteoarthritis. Traditional open surgeries, although effective, are associated with substantial tissue disruption, prolonged recovery, and risks of complications. Here, we present an arthroscopic technique for matrix-associated autologous chondrocyte implantation tailored to address focal tibial cartilage defects. This technique integrates meticulous arthroscopic preparation of the defect site and precise implantation of the matrix-associated autologous chondrocyte implantation membrane. The postoperative protocol emphasizes gradual weight-bearing and progressive functional recovery, enabling a safe return to daily activities and sports.
