A comparison of the small (2.3 mm) and large (3.2 mm) ACM bipolar electrocoagulation probes is reported. The 3.2-mm probe was significantly more effective in controlling canine arterial hemorrhage, and the histological depth of injury following coagulation was not significantly different for the two probes.
