Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual (the marine leech; Annelida; Clitellata; Hirudinida; Piscicolidae). The genome sequence is 174.1 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.48 kilobases in length. The metagenome of was also assembled. Of ten binned metagenomes, three were classified as high-quality assembled genomes (MAGs).
