Aspects of a patient's case are reported in which tumorogenic thrombosis, originating from a clinically occult uterine carcinoma, was transmitted via the ovarian vein into the inferior vena cava, thus leading to hepatic vein occlusion (partial Budd-Chiari syndrome) with hepatic infarct. The specific angiographic signs of Zahn's infarct are described and interpreted.
