Phenazepam undergoes aromatic and C3-hydroxylation in the microsomes of albino rats. Saturation of phenazepam oxidising enzymes proceeds at different substrate concentrations for both processes. Interaction of cytochrome P-450 with phenazepam is accompanied by spectral changes in the type II hemoprotein.
