[Diabetic cataract and flavonoids (first results) (author's transl)].

The possible effects of Quercetine, a potent inhibitor of aldose-reductase, on cataract formation and vascular permeability were investigated in streptozotocine-diabetic rats. Preliminary results after peroral administration of Quercetine did not allow to demonstrate a clear inhibitory effect on cataract formation.
