Three patients are described with ulceration of the colon in whom the disease was complicated by the formation of diverticula. In one patient this took the form of pseudo-diverticulum formation, which is well recognised, but in the others diverticula were wide-necked, and in one patient followed deep ulceration, a finding which does not appear to have been described before. In the latter it is suggested the diverticula are projections of mucosa through the fibrous scar of the healed ulcers.
