Sendai virus (Parainfluenza 1) antigens have been demonstrated on fertilized mouse eggs by immunofluorescence. culture experiments confirm the affinity of Sendai virus for fertilized eggs and suggest that infection before the stage of implantation must be considered in any discussion concerning the role of the agent and abnormal foetal development.
