Abstract
The Authors consider the cases of suicide which took place in the hospitals of Parma from 1944-1973 (41 cases) examining them from several aspects: age, sex, civil status, season and day's hour when the death occurred, means, anamnesis, the disease which caused the admission to hospital, time spent in hospital, autopsy results. They also make medico-legal and criminalistic observations about the pertinent data.
