Abstract

The development of thymic lymphomas in inbred AKR mice is well established. Ovum fusion of the AKR with a normal and relatively tumour resistant strain has been achieved to obtain AKR:CBA/H/ chimaeras. The fact that unlike the parental AKR, three of six AKR:CBA/H/ chimaeras are alive and well at more than 68 weeks of age, records the delay and suggests the possible inhibition of lymphomas in this situation.
