A 50-year-old black man with uncontrolled open-angle glaucoma developed a flat anterior chamber after cyclocryotherapy. Because of poor visualization secondary to a cataract, ultrasonography was used to confirm the diagnosis of a large choroidal detachment. After suprachoroidal drainage and reformation of the anterior chamber, the patient has done well.
