Post-treatment WAIS scores of 36 hospitalized schizophrenics were analyzed according to diagnostic subdivisions elsewhere validated. Significant differences emerged between Verbal and Performance Scales and among the 11 subtests, which transcended diagnostic subclasses. The results implied a reliable schizophrenic WAIS pattern supportive of Wechsler's (1958) proposal.
