Abstract
Injection of anti-mouse lymphocyte serum has been demonstrated to alter phagocytic activity in mice. The effects on macrophage activity are of short duration and are probably due to the immunogenic properties of the serum and its toxic activity against other cell types rather than a direct effect on macrophages.
